The election is over and our Term Limits project WON! Citizens of Arlington voted 63% YES to the 37%
NO! It was terribly exciting and we have
been thrilled for the last two days.
Of course, it won’t be implemented until the May 2019 city
election when three long-term (15 to 17 years) city council people, must resign. We will be looking for some good people to
run to fill those spaces. So, contact us if you are interested. In 2020, two
more must go.
We do expect some "push back" as we have heard that the Mayor and the Council will be looking at some way to overturn Prop E, as it was called on the election ballot. We have even heard there maybe a lawsuit, But, that probably is just a rumor. We will continue to follow and post the "happing's " as they show up.
For now, it is a time to celebrate and rest. But in the new year we will look forward to
our next project which will be to get anti-corruption laws, gerrymandering
voting districts, and dark money out of our city by creating more transparency in
our local government.
We will do more Climate environment events and who knows
what else?
Come join us if you are interested.
